The proposed rule aims to further implement the 21st Century Cures Act, as well as ONC’s ongoing efforts to improve health through standards, policy and health IT certification. Tripathi will also speak about the ONC’s interoperability framework; the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA); how open APIs are enabling enhanced access, functionality and user experience in healthcare interoperability; why health equity by design principles are critical for data capture and use; and what ONC is doing to address algorithmic bias in healthcare.
